Frank is currently a PhD student at the ETH Chair of Development Economics Group (DEC) since June 2021. His research explores issues related to inclusive education. He looks at the role of technology in addressing education and mental well-being outcomes for learners with disabilities in western Kenya.
Before starting his PhD, Frank worked with Innovations for Poverty Action in Kenya for 5 years as a Research and Policy Manager where he oversaw several research studies including projects on youth employment, tax compliance, public participation, consumer protection, financial contracts, women empowerment & entrepreneurship and; sanitation. He also worked with Concern Worldwide on an operational study looking at urban resilience and with Sanergy on sanitation in informal settlements.
He holds an MA in Management from the University of Nairobi (Kenya) and a BSc in International Relations and Diplomacy from Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (Kenya). He has broad interests in development issues, education, poverty and inequality.
